Most young players are in club soccer because they love to play soccer. It is our responsibility to continue to nurture that love to play. Focus in practices is fun games with developing motor skills and muscles necessary to play soccer. Their is much individual contact with the ball, but at the same time the player is learning to be a part of a team and is given different responsibilities within the team.
Games played will all be on fields 30' x 20' with 4 x 6 goals. Players will play 4 v 4 to insure plenty of time to touch the ball and develop their motor skills in a small space. There will be no goalies and no offsides. Success on or off the playing field will be recognized in a positive manner to build self esteem. Players are encouraged to to begin to figure out cause and effect and how certain actions affect results.
