some Benefits of Being Active

Physical activity and sports participation is vital to a child’s overall health and well-being. Kids that stay physically active are more likely to:
    Have strong muscles and bones
    Maintain a healthy weight
    Reduce health disease risks
    Sleep better
    Have more self confidence
    Perform better academically
Whether a child enjoys soccer, football, baseball, basketball, hockey or swimming, being in top physical shape will improve athletic performance and protect the body from injuries. Each sport comes with its own physical demands on your body.  When kids are fit, their bodies can do the things they want and need them to do especially in the sports they love most.

Benefits of Early Athletic Testing

The "President's Youth Fitness Program",   recently updated by President Obama, has been a part of public schools in the US.  The program,  which measures physical fitness, also encourages an overall interest in getting and staying fit for life.

Youth fitness testing provides an initial reference point, or "base line" for young athletes to measure their strengths and weeknesses and create goals to improve in areas of interest.  In addition,  practice testing always helps improve actual test day performance.

Collegiate and Professional athletes have been  tested in combine formats for quite some time.  Recruiting organizations use these test results to compare measurable athletic talents to find the best talent for their teams needs  It is not surprising that young athletes can benefit from combine type tests at an early age.
